I wanna be a Cowboy Baby…

December 13, 2009

Well, we officially sold the sleigh bed today.  It seems fitting to leave it in Indiana, as Dallas doesn’t have a lot of snow, and the bed may just mock me once we are there.   I loved that bed.  It’s the one new item we bought once we moved to Indiana.  Every other piece of furniture we either had when we moved to Indiana from Florida, or it was given to us from Brandy and Kraig.  Oh well, it’s gone and paid for, and we wouldn’t have room to take it anyway.

Moving this time seems harder than when I moved to Florida.  I was just out of college and single when I moved to Florida so the future seems to have so many options.  Now I’m married, and it just seems like we’re moving for no real reason.  I mean, we are hoping to get better jobs and save some money there, but we have no real motivation.  Neither of us are being transferred for a job, we aren’t moving to provide a better life for our child, because we don’t have one, and frankly, my husband says it’s not because of his family, although I’m going to assume, it actually is.  Either way, I will be a Texan in two weeks.

Mixed emotions aside, I am slightly excited at a new start.  I have friends down there so I do have that going for me.  Jorge has an interview on Tuesday, so with help from God I hope that he gets the job.  I really want to start concentrating on comedy writing, so I’m going to take some time to focus on that :)

One last Christmas as a Hoosier…I make this promise before I leave.  I will forever be a Colts fan.  The Dallas Cowboys can…ah…hit the old dusty trail :) .
